Manufacturing Engineer I

Position Overview:
This position will provide all the technical production support for electronic module production. This person will be the specifier and expert in production equipment and methods, and provide all levels of training, troubleshooting and maintenance specification relative to both surface mount PCB and through hole / wave solder production. This person will also support manual solder and assembly process in the PCB areas, as well as reside as the site leader in solder specification standards and compliance. Typical equipment and processes this person would be responsible for include surface mount pick and place equipment, jet and stencil printing, AOI and X-Ray inspection, wave solder equipment, conformal coating, washers, and reflow ovens.
The Control Solutions General Industries Franksville manufacturing facility designs and manufactures highly-specified electrical / electronic control products and systems, including solid state motor starters, variable frequency drives, OEM-specific industrial control panels, and complex control systems, ranging from 5-10,000 horsepower and 200-13,800 volts. This role will interact with various functions and other operations across the business.
Key responsibility will include executing and ensuring job duties and projects are completed on-time and within budgetary guidelines. Achievement of committed goals will be a key requirement of success in this role.
Job Responsibilities:
Support all current processes used in the production of surface mount printed circuit boards and the additional assembly of wave-soldered through hole components. The scope covers all production processes (including inspection of surface mount production), but does not include end of process testing of fully function module assemblies.
Research, specification and purchase of equipment used in production process.
Specification of maintenance processes for equipment, including some activity performed personally as well as coordination of contract services for machine specific special maintenance.
Troubleshoot equipment / tooling issues and repair or coordinate repair services. Perform or coordinate scheduled backups for production machine data.
Program AOI and X-Ray inspection processes.
Perform scheduled review of Pick and Place error logs and make Package Library adjustments to eliminate or reduce repeat errors.
Support manual solder and assembly processes. Aid in training and troubleshooting related to these processes.
Attend Engineering module design reviews to ensure designs are optimized for compatibility to our production processes.
Work with production teams to drive best practices in PCB handling and storage, standard work documentation, program organization, etc. Promote and support productivity improvement in the PCB production area.
Periodically participate in training and development activities with operators, specifically in use and care of equipment and understanding of quality requirements and controls.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical electrical or electronic discipline, or equivalent. Associate degree in electronic discipline considered with significant relevant experience
Working knowledge of surface mount and through hole printed circuit board production is required
3 years of direct work in PCB production desired, with applicable experience in processes listed above
Knowledge of IPC-A-610 Workmanship Standard and J-STD-001 Soldering Standard, certifications desired, but not required
Excellent communication skills to work with engineers, operators, and suppliers.
Excellent technical documentation skills for both program and procedure documentation.
Ability to work independently on multiple projects.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
