Maintenance Manager

Maintenance Manager Sr.
Maintenance Engineer/Manager with manufacturing experience in either the medical device, pharmaceutical, and/or biotech industries is needed to lead a maintenance department for a dynamic organization.
This is a long term contract position budgeted for at least a year (+).
Responsibilities for the Maintenance Manager Direct the activities of various skilled employees by assigning work, monitoring those assignments and inspecting the repairs made.
Participate in the planning and the implementation of capital, extraordinary maintenance and routine maintenance budgets.
Maintain appropriate relationships to attain the goals of productivity, safety, cost, and quality.
Support and promote quality program indicatives within the plant environment.
Designs, implements, and modifies preventive maintenance programs by reviewing production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics; inspecting operating machines, equipment, and systems for conformance with operational standards.
Directs the activities of outside contractors as required to maintain equipment and processes and inspects and accepts work to ensure compliance to plant standards.
Manages the plant's mechanical assets, working with the Plant Controller to ensure proper physical inventory and valuation levels.
Directs training and indoctrination of maintenance staff to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
Maintains maintenance staff by recruiting and selecting qualified individuals.
Requirements for the Maintenance Manager BS/BA in business administration, industrial engineering or related major or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5 years' experience in maintenance of regulated assets Demonstrated knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
Demonstrated knowledge of Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Systems.
Knowledge of effective project management practices.
Knowledge of fiscal budgeting principles and practices.
Familiarity with Medical Device and Sterilization equipment.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office programs.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated supervisory skills.
