Manufacturing Engineer Associate

Position Overview:
This position will provide technical production support for electronic module production. This person will support production equipment and methods, and participate in troubleshooting and maintenance relative to both surface mount PCB and through hole / wave solder production. This person will also support manual solder and assembly process in the PCB areas after training fully in IPC-A-610 Workmanship and J-STD-001 Soldering Standards. Typical equipment and processes this person would be responsible for include surface mount pick and place equipment, jet and stencil printing, AOI and X-Ray inspection, wave solder equipment, conformal coating, washers, and reflow ovens.
Job Responsibilities:
Support all current processes used in the production of surface mount printed circuit boards and the additional assembly of wave-soldered through hole components. The scope covers production processes (including inspection of surface mount production), but does not include end of process testing of fully functional module assemblies..
Specification of PM maintenance processes for equipment including PM activity performed personally. Coordination of contract services for machine specific special maintenance.
Interface with equipment supplier(s) as needed in support of equipment repair or process issues.
Troubleshoot equipment / tooling issues and repair or coordinate repair services, internally or with outside contractors.
Perform or coordinate scheduled backups for production machine data.
Primary programming of AOI and X-Ray inspection processes, and support setup and programming of other equipment..
After training in MyData programming , perform scheduled review of Pick and Place error logs and make Package Library adjustments to eliminate or reduce repeat errors.
Support manual solder and assembly processes. Aid in training and troubleshooting related to these processes.
Review new designs for manufacturability and conformance to existing equipment /processes.
Work with production teams to drive best practices in PCB handling and storage, standard work documentation, program organization, etc. Promote and support productivity improvement in the PCB production area.
Periodically participate in training and development activities with operators, specifically in use and care of equipment and understanding of quality requirements and controls.
Minimum Qualifications:
Two year Associate degree in a technical electrical or electronic discipline, or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of surface mount and through hole printed circuit board function and production.
Knowledge of IPC-A-610 Workmanship Standard and J-STD-001 Soldering Standards.
Willingness to travel immediately for training and education related to equipment and processes, including soldering standards and methods.
Excellent communication skills to work with engineers, operators, and suppliers.
Excellent technical documentation skills for both program and procedure documentation.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
